Flathead County Sheriff's Posse
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse is a volunteer, nonprofit support organization that works alongside the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to assist with public safety operations, community events, emergency response support, and search efforts. Posse members train regularly and deploy with essential equipment including radios, protective gear, horses, trailers, and transport resources, often under demanding conditions and on short notice.
As a nonprofit, the Posse relies on fundraising and donations to cover the cost of training, equipment, communications, and operational readiness. Every contribution directly supports the people, tools, and preparation that make this important work possible and help protect our community. If you cannot attend our events, please consider donating so we can effectively serve and protect you.
Community Support
Your donation helps the Posse provide visible, reliable support at community events, public gatherings, and emergencies throughout Flathead County. This includes crowd and traffic control, safety presence, and coordination with the Sheriff’s Office so events and responses run smoothly. Community support starts with people who are ready to show up when extra hands are needed.
Operational Readiness
Your donation helps fund ongoing training, deployment readiness, and the ability to respond on short notice when the Sheriff’s Office calls for support. This includes preparedness for emergency response, search efforts, and public safety operations across varied terrain and conditions. Readiness means volunteers are trained, organized, and capable when timing matters.
Equipment Resources
Your donation helps provide and maintain essential equipment including radios, protective gear, horses, trailers, and transport resources required for safe and effective operations.
